Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where did the name Field Pup come from?

A: The name originated with the farmers of yesteryear.

Q: Are your units DOT Certified?

A: Our units are not DOT certified, but they meet and/or exceed DOT specifications. Various Department of Transportation outfits have purchased their own units. All potential customers are asked to contact their local DOT and fire marshal to learn more about what can or cannot be used specific to their location.

Q: Can I get any different colors for my equipment?

A: All standard equipment colors are available for the trailers, and include red, black, white, equipment yellow, medium blue, navy blue, equipment green, forest green, gray, desert sand, and some custom colors and color combinations (i.e. navy frame with gray tank, gray frame and gray tank). If there is a color you would prefer based on your fleet color, we will do our best to match it.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

A: Lead-time varies, and currently is averaging 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of order. If the unit is available before the expected ship date, we would follow your request regarding immediate shipment.

Q: How will you ship it?

A: If advised in advance, we will also arrange for a unit to be shipped to a location other than your physical address. We use several flat bed and drop deck freight providers, requesting a quotation from them, prepaying the freight and invoicing you for same. If you have an alternate carrier you prefer to use, it isn't a problem, just let us know. When the unit arrives at your facility, it can be rolled off using the towing vehicle or lifted off with a fork lift or loader.

Q: What if I want to export?

A: If the unit is for export, we will work with your freight forwarder and can ship the unit to a US port in care of your stipulated contact.

Q: Are there warranties?

A: There is a 5 year warranty on our trailers.
